HI

The above fund occasionally comes up and gets mentioned on this forum

Its caught my eye a bit

I am thinking of investing in it approx £9k

just looking for views and opinions on it , anyone invested in it , its profile does not seem that high but i am intrigued by it

Thanks in advance

In my opinion, a low profile is a positive benefit. Hint - If ever HL put it on the 150 list, sell it immediately.

I held this up until Brexit .. Great fund pursuing a solid strategy benefited by its small size.

My only reservation would be Brexit uncertainty .. and they could lower the fee a bit (although given its size, I understand the manager needs to be paid).

Since Brexit I've not held any UK stock funds, apart from a small position in Standard Life UK Equity Recovery .. Buffettology and Marlborough UK Micro-Cap Growth would probably be the first things I look at seriously again .. I'm generally positive about Brexit, but don't see the need to take the risk while plenty of US and Emerging stocks are doing well.

I have been averaging into this fund since November last year. I like the manager, I read his book and even spoke to him on the phone when he returned my call regarding some queries i made with the head office about the fund!

Agree with KL about the annual management charge but as long as performance is good i can live with that. I am building a small position around 5% of my portfolio!
