LLOY sharedealing – Anyone noticed the sudden dramatic increase (from a daily average around 150M shares to yesterday’s 247M and today’s 344M) in LLOY sharedealing? I suppose it could be to do with today’s revelation that LLOY has £11.6 Billion in car loans or is it simply our American HFT friends cashing in on the increased nervousness surrounding Brexit? I have to know!

This might explain it

People with their ear closer to the ground than you or I could get are also baffled, so don't feel too left out.

Thanks srg751 – This might also explain why António chose to put an additional £1B aside in July. Allegedly for PPI, but seems more likely to fund a settlement with shareholders. I can’t imagine Eric Daniels or Mr Brown relishing their time in the witness box. Could a damage-limitation exercise a la RBS / Fred Goodwin be on the cards?
