As far as can tell, you can't. You can only insert images via an internet link.

If you have eg Facebook or Instagram accounts you could probably post the image there and insert a link to it on here. I can't say for sure it would work as I've never tried but why not give it a go?

That's the approach others have suggested, though I've never done it myself, so can't prove it.

Try doing a search for 'Insert image in post' in the Search box on this website.

This forum doesn't allow direct file attachments, but as has been said, you can insert an image via a URL if you click the mountain/sun symbol above the message box, or just use image tags e.g. [img]IMAGE URL[/img] .

For free image hosting try tinypic.com, postimages.org, imgur.com or gyazo.com (there are many more).

As CB mentioned earlier, there are free image hosting sites that will generate the required IMG code once your image has been uploaded. Let's see if they work here...

By right-clicking on the above coins image you can see the image location is http://i65.tinypic.com/iw2idx.jpg

I found previously that this forum will not accept .gif images (unless the policy has changed) - leaving .png and .jpg as available image formats. Gif format allows animated gifs. Animation could be useful if used responsibly. No, I don't think it would be either.
