And by the way happy birthday, belated, to Mrs srg 725. Hope you have as much fun in your sixties as we had in ours. Take care of your knees though.

Thank you Tony. ..........hope Mrs P adheres to the physiotherapy regime. It's tough but I'me advised its essential. Anyway, speedy recovery. ( the hips the easy one, the knee not so)

My eyes have been opened out here..
I can see 4 oil rigs owned by Shell, 8 miles off shore. The Venezualan coast is 14 miles away where they pay 15 cents for a gallon of petrol. Here, its 6 dollars a gallon. All because Aruba refuse to do ANY business with the Venezualan government. .... They have their 'standards' !!

Nevertheless, profits from oil find their way here in other ways, the most obvious one being in the back pockets of Texan Oil men. And boy do they want 'YALL A KNOW ABOUD IET'
Who said " you can't buy class" ?

Went down in a submarine today............. Now you've not heard that in a citywire post before !!

What happened to 'our jeff'f' thread about when and why you purchase shares etc? I for one had a lot more to contribute as time went on as i'm sure other's would have? more particularly monitoring and discussing an individuals 'pick's' and decisions to hold buy or sell etc ...

Would have been very informative as opposed to one sided ego driven profit taking pronouncements ....

I could be wrong of course

Thanks for that. But I keep watching over you all with my new varifocals. Magic.

Those Persimmon seeds are growing nicely, are they not, in spite of the tripe mixed in with the vinegar?

He's back!

What happened to the young guy from last year who was promoting Bitcoin? He should be back on here crowing. Looking at how it's shot up, I wish I'd taken a punt (though when I started to look at how to buy Bitcoins I found it over-complicated - and I'm in IT!)

I think the long term prospects may be starting to look interesting - I'm waiting to see if the proposed ETF gets approval before considering it though - much simpler!
